Chicago Ska-punk band Bumsy and the Moochers are set to release their brand new full length album, Diet Violence, on September 8th, 2022

For fans of Ska, this may be one of the best years in a while for new music (sorry, no new Reel Big Fish music that I am aware of though).

With acts like Big D and the Kids Table and The Interrupters and a slew of other acts putting out new music in the last year it is already a pretty decent 365 days of ska releases.

However, if you haven't been up on Bumsy and The Moochers from Chicago, then you need to catch up as they are releasing a brand new LP called Diet Violence, and I have gotten a sneak peek of it.

Let's just say, it is pretty goddamn good. A full review will be coming soon.

In the meantime, go check out the single "Won't Give Up On Love" while you wait for the official release on September 8th!

The official press release information is below:

The album is a collection of 10 tracks, 7 of which are brand new and 3 had been previously recorded and released as singles, culminating into The Sneak Peek EP released via Sell The Heart Records in 2021.

Front-person Caitlin Edwards leads the band with her energetic and dynamic vocal approach, bring both the characteristically fun & peppy ska-punk style we’re used to on tracks like “AKT”, “Not Gonna Have It”, but at times also delivering a more tender and commanding style on tracks like the lead off single “Won’t Give Up On Love” or “Hey Margarita”.

Available on Cassette via Ska Punk International or Compact Disc via Sell The Heart Records, the album is set for a full release on September 8th, 2022 and the labels will be exploring a small vinyl pressing as well.
