MIAMI, FL — September 17, 2025 — Rising Caribbean punk-rock trio Kröna will release their explosive new single, “The Weasel Strut,” on October 10, in conjunction with their Miami show on October 11 at Las Rosas. The track serves as the band’s latest statement of intent ahead of their much-anticipated debut album, Dead Air Diaries, arriving November 22, 2025, via their own imprint, Merenpón Records.
A sharp critique of rigid thinking and cultural stagnation, “The Weasel Strut” is as confrontational as it is infectious.
“This song critiques narrow-mindedness and stubborn adherence to outdated beliefs. It challenges the listener to break free from rigid thinking and to reconsider their perspectives. The lyrics depict the frustration with those who refuse to evolve and continue to make the same mistakes. It emphasizes the need for open-mindedness and growth in understanding the world,” the band shares.

About Kröna
Formed in April 2024, Kröna is a dynamic punk-rock trio that fuses hardcore urgency and reggae grooves with a distinctive Caribbean flair. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and now based in Miami, Florida, the group is comprised of Cristóbal (vocals/guitar), JP (bass/vocals), and powerhouse drummer Chino (also of Zeta).
Born from Santo Domingo’s tight-knit DIY circuit, Kröna channels the spirit of resistance and cultural pride into electrifying performances and fiercely independent releases. Their sound is both confrontational and celebratory, bridging the energy of late-’70s hardcore with Afro-Caribbean rhythms. They call it “dance-in-the-pit” music—fast, unfiltered, and defiantly alive.
With Dead Air Diaries on the horizon, Kröna is carving out space for Caribbean punk on the global stage. Fueled by rebellious spirit and relentless groove, they’re not just making noise—they’re building a movement.
