Providence, RI punk quartet Structure Sounds have released their new covers EP, Stolen Sounds, via Wiretap Records. The EP finds the band tearing into songs from an eclectic lineup of artists, putting their gritty punk stamp on tracks made popular by The Weeknd, Amy Winehouse, Bad Religion, Laura Jane Grace, and more.

Zach Taylor Roth of Structure Sounds on 'Stolen Sounds': “This whole thing started as a fun little home-recording project and quickly became a real labor of love—emphasis on the labor. It was a lot of late nights in our apartments, but I’m incredibly proud of what we put together. My only regret is not tracking more feedback and weird guitar noise at the beginning of ‘Blinding Lights,’ though I’m pretty sure the rest of the band disagrees”

Sean Patrick Carney of Structure Sounds on 'Stolen Sounds': “The Stolen Sounds EP is our way of bridging the gap between full-lengths and having some fun in the process. Our sets almost always include a cover, and after a few years we had built up quite a few that we felt were worth putting down. What I really enjoyed was finding ways to arrange these songs to our style. Zach and I obviously do not have the same vocal range as Amy Winehouse and The Weeknd so we had to find a way to dirty these songs up a bit. All in all, this project took a lot of Advil Liqui-Gels, but I think it’s a perfect appetizer to hold everyone over for our next record!”
