Hans Gruber and the Die Hards’ unique brand of punk/ska mashes genres together with messy intensity for maximum enjoyment Formed in Austin, TX as a four piece in 2014, the band shamelessly embraces change. Over the years they’ve defiantly added a full time saxophone player, as well as parted ways with two of their founding members.The band consists of Kurt Armstrong (he/him: Lead Vocals, Trombone, Latin Percussion), Rosey Armstrong (she/her: Lead Vocals, Tenor Saxophone, Ancillary Percussions), Chris Thompson (he/him: Drums), Danger (they/it: Bass), and Mike Murray (he/his: Guitar).
Since becoming the version of the band they are now, they’ve brought their unapologetic live show to audiences throughout North America. Hans Gruber and the Die Hards have performed at festivals including the inaugural Ska Punk International Fest, Pouzza Festival, Muddy Roots Festival, FEST, Supernova International Ska Festival, and This is Not Croydon Fest. They’ve performed alongside legacy punk and ska performers including Fishbone, Against All Authority, and Tsunami Bomb.
Their newest album, With a Vengeance was released on Ska Punk International Records on May 3, 2022. With a Vengeance was received with critical acclaim as one of Brooklyn Vegan’s Top 50 Punk Albums of 2022 and continues to be a fan favorite on Ska Punk International Records. On Tuesday February 6, they are releasing an ultimate version of the third pressing of the vinyl.
