Chicago, IL — Veteran punk trio Horace Pinker has released their brand-new album, Now and the Future, out now on People of Punk Rock Records. Their first full-length in over a decade, the record finds the band sounding more urgent and energized than ever—channeling 30+ years of experience into a set of songs that are sharp, melodic, and unflinchingly honest.
“Now and the Future is our first full-length since 2011,” the band shares. “Driven by punchy rhythms, sharp melodies, and our signature energy, the record reflects how we continue to evolve while staying true to our punk roots.”
Tracked at Bombshelter Recording Studio in Chicago with Dan Precision (Rise Against, 88 Fingers Louie) at the helm, Now and the Future is both a nod to Horace Pinker’s roots and a bold step forward. From the anthemic punch of “Three Against Me” to the relentless blast of “Call It a Day,” the record balances grit with melody, pairing driving rhythms and urgent guitars with lyrics that reflect resilience, resistance, and growth.
The striking cover art comes courtesy of JP Flexner (Beach Slang), underscoring the record’s bold, uncompromising feel.
Formed in Tempe, AZ, and now calling Chicago home, Horace Pinker has carved out a unique place in punk history. They’ve toured the world—20+ countries across Europe, Asia, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand—and shared stages with everyone from NOFX, Green Day, and Fugazi to Bad Religion, Jawbreaker, and Jimmy Eat World. Festival appearances include Groezrock in Belgium, Pouzza Fest in Montreal, and multiple runs at The Fest in Gainesville.
With eight full-length albums, countless EPs, and releases on labels like Fat Wreck Chords, the band has remained fiercely independent while continuing to evolve. As AV Club writer Kyle Ryan once noted, Horace Pinker “found the magic mix of intersecting guitars, a forceful rhythm section, and vocals that knew when to sing and when to shout.” Now and the Future keeps that magic alive.
