Lincoln, NE’s rising grunge/shoegaze power trio Ivory Daze, newly signed to Quiet Panic (M.U.T.T., Slow Crush), have released "Corset," the latest single off their forthcoming EP Chlorine, set for release on October 17.
"Musically inspired by the chorus layered guitar tracks of the 80s (Purple Rain by Prince) and the biggest fuzz tone you can get from bands like The Melvins and Smashing Pumpkins."- Isahen Harms
Formed by three close friends—Isahen Harms on guitar, vocals, and lyrics, Maeve Nelson on drums, and Van Foster on bass—Ivory Daze have built their reputation the hard way: through relentless touring, real-life growing pains, and a deep commitment to their craft. Their journey has taken them across thousands of miles, sharpening their identity into something both raw and refined.
At the heart of Ivory Daze’s sound is Harms’ deceptively simple mission statement: “I just write pop songs with distortion.” Yet their music is anything but basic—Nelson and Foster’s churning, adventurous rhythm section drives each track forward, while Harms’ guitar and vocal work balances vulnerability with urgency. Together, they channel shoegaze haze, grunge grit, and punk energy into something wholly their own.
With Chlorine, the band pushes further into the tension between chaos and melody, drawing from the best of ’80s and ’90s guitar music while carving out their own modern path. The result is a record that feels immediate and timeless, shaped by countless hours on the road and in the studio, and brought to life in sweat-soaked live performances that blur the line between hardcore catharsis and rock revival.
