Rocky Votolato Debuts First Single "Evergreen" Off Upcoming New Album Wild Roots
Rocky Votolato is a folk singer from Seattle who has been around for awhile, but for some reason hadn't been active as much lately, but that is all about to change.
Votolato is set to release his brand new album - which is the first in 7 years - this September.
The album is called Wild Roots, and if it is anything like the first single "Evergreen," it is going to be one hell of an album.

Seattle-based indie-folk hero Rocky Votolato has announced plans to release 'Wild Roots'-- his first album in over 7 years-- this fall, via Spartan Records and Thirty Something Records (Europe/UK). Completed with the assistance of fans via Kickstarter, the album will be out everywhere on September 9th. An intimate concept album inspired by and written for his family, each song is a letter dedicated to a specific family member and focused on a special memory or moment in time. After losing his child in December of 2021 in a tragic car accident, the entire album, and especially the song “Becoming Human,” now a posthumous love letter, takes on an even deeper while devastatingly bittersweet meaning.
